Can you see the northern lights in Levi?
Yes — Levi is about 140 km north of the Arctic Circle, well inside the aurora zone. The resort itself is brightly lit, so the best way to see the aurora is to get a few kilometres away from the slopes and the village. That is exactly what our northern lights tour from Levi does.
Do you pick up from all hotels in Levi?
We pick up from accommodation in the Levi area. Tell us where you are staying when you book and we will confirm the pickup point and time.
Is the Levi tour the same as the Ylläs tour?
It is the same northern lights hunt, and guests from Ylläs and Levi may share the evening. The difference is only where we pick you up. Because Ylläs and Levi are close to each other, we can drive towards whichever side has the clearer sky.
What is the best time for an aurora tour in Levi?
The northern lights season in Levi runs from late August to early April. Autumn, before the ski season, often has mild nights and dark skies; mid-winter has the longest darkness; March combines strong aurora activity with more daylight for other activities.
